1977 Capri MKII
The things that will destroy us are: politics without principle; pleasure without conscience; wealth without work; knowledge without character; business without morality; science without humanity; and worship without sacrifice. ~Mahatma Gandhi
THE 2.9 EFI conversion PROJECT
I found what I was looking for. Once again eBay comes through. I feel really fortunate to have found a 1977. The last year the Capri was imported to the USA.
The Plan - A Capri "Race Car" for autocross and club racing.
The Headlight Relay / Electrical Saga - There doesn't seem to be a relay for the headlights in the '77. The electrical and wiring diagrams shown in references don't match the '77. These all seem based on the '76. Please add any information you have. I will post information as I received it.
Relay - here are the relay's found under the dash. The cylinder is the buzzer and the blue rec. cube flasher. The others I don't know.
The Cosworth 2.9 EFI 24V DOHC - The intake, cam covers and oil pan are powder coated champagne. The yellow and red are also powder coats. The block is high temp epoxy paint. Most everything else is natural aluminum. I hope to have the headers ceramic coated.
Fuel Supply - The fuel supply system is now together. Thanks again to the Merkur. The low pressure filter is aftermarket, the fuel pump 95 psi max Xr4Ti, the high pressure filter Scorpio, the fuel rail components Cosworth, the carbon filter Capri.
BIG NEWS, we have rear disc brakes and vented front rotors!!!!
